Shared Experiences from Young People Who Have Attended Disciples Events
 After being invited to attend the Summer School by a friend, we journeyed together to Bunbury and arrived on Sunday afternoon. The week long School was literally a life changing experience for me.
With opportunities to select lectures and seminars, attending awesome mass celebrations, meeting beautiful people and an unforgettable reconciliation (and all this by only Tuesday night) I was on the right path to an outstanding week.
I arrived at Summer School and was blown away at the amount of young people my age who were there. They were so loving of each other and free to be themselves. My heart was already there and the music was just great! The third night of the Summer School came around, and it was about commitment. I realised how hard it is to commit to God. Doing it your head is easy, but in your heart is where the trust factor comes in. I hadn't completely healed from a past broken heart, and I had vowed to myself that I would never love someone completely again. So when it came to doing this with our Lord, He gave me the grace and I did it! I completely gave my whole heart, body and soul and every bit of me left, and I surrendered to the most Divine. God caught me in his hands - after so long, and he won't let me go and I don't want to either! |
